Two ex-British Military Camp Buildings at Hendon Road, Changi Point are being offered for lease by Singapore Land Authority for use a hotels. The two buildings are part of six camp buildings in the area. The guide monthly rental is around $28,500. The two buildings sit on 9,666 sqm of land and have a gross floor area of 5,097 sqm. This is part of SLA's afford to turn Changi Point into leisure and lifestyle hot spot.

Fire broke out at Sungei Kadut Street 1 on 3 August at around 3.30pm and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) brought the situation under control in 4 hours. The location at 60 Sungei Kadut St 1, is a complex of small size companies and stores dealing in timber. Most companies in Singapore, dealing in timber, are located at Sungei Kadut, in the north-western part of Singapore. Several fires have occurred in the past years.
Swimming off Pasir Ris Beach is unsafe. Signages - "Advisory - Beach water quality is not suitable for swimming due to high bacteria levels." have been put up along Pasir Ris Beach. The National Environment Agency, however, said that water quality off Seletar Island, Sembawang Park, Changi and East Coast Park is 'Good'. It is 'Very Good' at Sentosa.
