World War II (WWII) bomb shelter opens to the public PDF Print E-mail

Located at Tiong Bahru, Block 78 Guan Chuan Street, this little known wartime civilian bomb shelter, is now open for tours organised by the National Heritage Boar (NHB). The tours is part of NHB's planned event to mark the 70th anniversary of the fall of Singapore to the Japanese invaders in 1942 during WWII. There will also be a community exhibition at the nearby Tiong Bahru market.

The tours are scheduled to begin February 2012, every Saturdays at 10am and 11am. Each tour last an hour. The public can register for the tours by sending an email to: lee_bee_cheng [at] nhb.gov.sg
