The former Queenstown Remand Prison at Margeret Drive, closed more than 5 months ago. However, on 22 January 2010, it was the venue for the launch of cK Calvin Klein's Spring 2010 collection in singapore.
A one-off event at the venue, it's in line with the Government's plan to give a new lease of life to former government buildings.
Future possible use of the former Queenstown Remand Prison would be to turn it into an art exhibition centre.ge through interesting hands-on activities.

Traffice Police HQ (Former) Maxwell Road Then: Built in 1928, police barracks for the colonial Metropolitan Police Force, later used as headquarters for the Singapore Traffic Police. Now: Red Dot Design Museum - advertising agencies, design studios and a museum showcasing product designs.
SAF Central Manpower Base (Former) Dempsey Road Then: British Army barracks and former SAF Central Manpower Base - national service enlistment centre. Now: Restaurants, bars and antique shops.
Tanglin Police Station (Former) Napier Road Then: Police station for Tanglin area. Now: URA offices - pending future decision of use.
People's Association HQ /Old Kallang Airport (Former) Stadium Link /Mountbatten Road Then: Built in 1937, Singapore's first civilian airport. It was replaced by Paya Lebar in 1955. The People's Association HQ took over the premises in 1960. Now: Presently unoccupied - designated a heritage building, will be renovated for possible use as exhibition space and other cultural activities.
Customs House (Former) Maxwell Road Then: Built in 1932, Customs & Excise Department and Film Censors Board till 1989. Subsequently, used as office space and renamed White House. Now: Maxwell Chambers - Singapore's new international arbitration centre.
Institute of Dental Health (Former) Alexandra Road /Hyderabad Road Then: Built in the 1930s, Institute of Dental Health. Now: SP Jain Centre of Management - a business school.
